"Judges are kind to bullies"

A man from Kikinda who beat his wife with a pistol and fired four bullets into her was sentenced to only one year and four months in prison. "The light sentences for domestic violence are a consequence of the fact that prosecutors do not treat such cases as attempted murder," Vanja Macanović from the Autonomous Women's Center told Vreme.
