In the new issue of Vremena, which is on newsstands from this Thursday (May 28), Jovana Gligorijević analyzes the rally in Slavia and its consequences:
"When a peaceful assembly lasts for hours, and violence only appears at its edges, while people are leaving, it is even more difficult to sell the story of 'savagery'. Indeed, Vučić and the team should finally understand: if ever someone decides to remove them by force, they will not set up a stage and bring colorful sprays to write on their T-shirts."
And here we come to the key point: this is no longer just resistance, but also political articulation. The students took the most difficult step - they crossed the path from rebellion to offer. That path is always difficult, full of mistakes and wanderings, but it is the only one that leads outside the vicious circle in which the government survives by feeding on the crisis it produces itself."
