A black screen - that's the image Snežana found on Wednesday when she turned on the television and wanted to watch the morning program of television N1.
The same black image appeared when she switched to the Nova S. She also wondered if perhaps the two televisions had been reassigned, as had happened. a few weeks ago, but she soon found out that viewers who until now watched television channels N1 and Nova via Total TV no longer have that option.
"After Blitz, I watched television to see what was happening in the country, but it's not the same," she told "Vreme".
Total TV resale
The Total TV network was acquired by United Media in mid-February she sold to the Czech-Emirati company e&PPF Telecom, i.e. Yettel (Jetel). Sale of SBB it was completed in early April, and the public in Serbia found out on the same day that Total TV was resold.
The Telekom Srbija company then announced that Total TV had passed into its ownership. As it was announced at the time, existing users of Total TV will be able to watch the channels offered by Telekom Srbija. A new announcement that things are now official came on April 16.
The Telekom Srbija company announced that the Total TV (EON Sat) service has officially passed into its ownership, which means that as of today, Total TV users have been completely transferred to the Telekom Srbija platform, thus completing the process of integration into the company's systems and services.
As stated, from now on all satellite (DTH) services are fully provided by Telekom Srbija, and users of Total TV have the same channel offer as users of Telekom Srbija's satellite television, m:SAT tv.
The announcement stated that the process of buying the Total TV service, which was owned by United Group, was completed on April 2 of this year.
United Group also announced that it was unpleasantly surprised by the actions of e&Etisalat PPF Telecom Group, which owns SBB and Yettel in Serbia, which, as they state, "publicly presented incorrect information that we were the ones who sold Total TV to Telekom, which is a notorious falsehood."
"PPF, contrary to their public announcements, bought SBB as a whole, which included the cable system and Total TV," states United Group.
The new owner of SBB then sold Total TV to Telekom Srbije, which on the same day after taking over Total TV canceled channels N1 and Nova S for users, United Group adds.
Copy-paste mode behavior
After canceling the channel Total TV from the United Group, they state that they do not understand the reasons why the company e&Etisalat PPF Telecom Group decided that, after reaching an agreement on the purchase of SBB, it treats the channels N1 and Nova S incorrectly and unprofessionally, "almost in the same way as the regime in Serbia does, for which these credible and watched televisions are undesirable".
"In fact, despite the signed exclusive contract that allows N1 and Nova S to be available on the Yettel cable network, they have not yet included these channels, although 45 new channels have been included in their second network (SBB) at the same time. The only explanation for this action is in the unconvincing claim of platform modernization. We clearly and directly offered Yettel all the technical support so that users could immediately watch N1 and Nova, but they turned a deaf ear to our offer. Now, instead of the majority of citizens Serbia gets access to the channels, the sale of Total TV actually does the opposite - N1 and Nova are denied to tens of thousands of households in Serbia", according to United Group.
Channels N1 and Nova S were previously moved to positions 278 and 279 on Total TV and have now been completely removed.
Those two televisions were previously discontinued for users of the NetTV plus platform, which broadcasts programming for the diaspora market.
