President of the Democratic Party Srdjan Milivojevic he assessed for "Vreme" that the behavior of employees in Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the last few days it shows that "in our country we have party police".
"Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs behave as if they took an oath on the political program of the Serbian Progressive Party, and not on the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia. They behave as if they have the SNS emblem on their sleeve and not the coat of arms of Serbia. It is incredible that people forget the oath and the provisions of the law with such ease. They forget that they are also citizens of our country, regardless of their official duties," said Milivojević.
He adds that the police committed a number of serious crimes.
"One of the ringleaders of those abuses concerning inhuman behavior and abuse in the service is Marko Krichak, the commander of the now infamous Personal Protection Unit. It has 15 groups and 15 departments in its composition, and it also has an anti-terrorist group, and it is simply unbelievable that they are on the street," Milivojević pointed out.
That's why he posed a public question to the minister and the director of the police and to Marko Kričko himself: "What are these people doing on the street? Why are they using brutal force"?
"What we saw in Valjevo requires much more than the measures announced by the DS, namely that we will submit the names and surnames of policemen who break the law to the officials of the European Union, with the proposal that they be banned from entering EU countries," Milivojević concluded.
