Of all these dreary decades one of the most popular actors our good spirit remains, that rare, remaining civic beacon that testifies that Belgrade is not a extinct metropolis, that there is still morality, courage, dignity and lordship here.
In an interview for "Danas" actor Nikola Kojo it talks about the year behind us and the student rebellion, the moral obligation of all citizens to help young people fight for a better country and a better life.
"This is one of the saddest years in my life, and in the lives of many of us. "Unfortunately, the circumstances we are in and the events from this will have their tail in the coming years," Kojo said.
When asked by a journalist from "Danasa" that many tragic progressive affairs in recent years have been eaten by cobwebs, how surprised is the government now that the student rebellion, blockades of faculties and the action "Stop Serbia" got out of control and cannot stop them?
Which answers: "She was taken aback. They played. For a long time, they rode the wave of dictatorship, which was met with little resistance. They got sweet. They lulled each other. They thought that by kidnapping the media, the judiciary, the levers of power, creating fake opposition members and other occupying moves, they would rule forever. This is again the result of buying diplomas, not learning history and folk proverbs ("No one until dawn", etc.), as well as not considering the acceleration of planetary events. They didn't warm the bench, and now they are ruining their plans".
"These young people don't hate"
How, for example, does the current student rebellion differ from the student protests of some of our generation in 1996/97? Which says that it is fearlessness, determination and perseverance.
"They don't remember wars." They don't hate. You can't get them to count blood cells. They believe in Santa Claus more than the Croatian secret services overthrowing the president. They socialize and communicate with the whole world. They are an open-minded generation. And the most ingenious and saddest thing: They just ask that the institutions do their job! Nothing more! This is something that a dictator does not have an answer to, and that is why it is a sure way to success. I am ashamed to admire this request, in the middle of the XXI century, in the middle of Europe."
