On Thursday, November 21, 12 suspects were arrested for the tragedy in Novi Sad. Among them are, among others, the retired Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Goran Vesić, former director of the Railway Infrastructure of Serbia Jelena Tanasković, former director of the Railway Infrastructure of Serbia Nebojša Šurlan and assistant minister for railway transport Anita Dimoski.
Then they are the tabloids reported that Vesić and the others will be detained for up to 30 days.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić addressed all the events, arrests, resignations, rebellions citizens on the Instagram account, and then it is he was also a guest on RTS where he said that the prosecution did a "surreal quick expert examination".
"Surreal fast" business 20 days after the tragedy?
The president also said that the resignations are over and that it is up to the competent authorities to determine the criminal responsibility for the accident in Novi Sad.
"The prosecutor's office was afraid of the worst among us"
However, after all that, these arrests also bothered the editor-in-chief Dragan J. Vučićević, who asked himself during a guest appearance on the "Novo Jutro" emcee on pink television: "Why? All aside, all the politics, all the investigations, all the blame, all the setups, all the pressures. I am asking you humanly - who will look after the children of Jelena Tanasković?".
The President of the Assembly of Serbia, Ana Brnabić, was also absent. As usual, she wrote on the "X" social network that the prosecutor's office succumbed to street pressure and was afraid of the worst among us.
"In return, they received new orders from those who pressured and threatened them - extremists, criminals, tycoons, thugs and thugs, opportunists and political vultures without any scruples or morals." The man who, after 10 years in power, reported that he was 619 million euros richer, says that the arrests were too late. By God they are. His here is more than a decade late. Arrest for doing nothing? Well, just start from Đilas and Pajtić. No matter how you look at it, the fact that Đilas is at large is proof that we have not done enough on the rule of law," Brnabić wrote.
That Aleksandar Vučić gave in under pressure he said on Thursday for "Vreme" and councilor in the Assembly of Novi Sad Miran Pogačar and said that the blockade of the court will continue despite the fact that 12 people were arrested due to the fall of the canopy.
"The point of these blockades and protests that will take place in the coming period is to push the matter to the end, and for something to really work in this country," said Pogačar.
