Senior Public Prosecutor's Office (VJT) in Belgrade took over from the Third Basic Public Prosecutor's Office jurisdiction over the criminal complaint filed on December 2 by the dean of the Faculty of Dramatic Arts (FDU) against "unknown persons" who attacked students, employees and journalists who gathered in front of that faculty at 11.52:XNUMX a.m. would pay tribute to the victims in the fall of the canopy at the Railway Station in Novi Sad, announced VJT.
The announcement stated that the students reported the gathering to the police with a plan to close the Art Boulevard in front of FDU for 15 minutes.
It was also stated that the VJT will act on the report and undertake actions within its competence in order to verify the allegations of the criminal report and establish the existence of the elements of the criminal offense of violent behavior at a sports event or public meeting from the article.
Although the VJT states that "unknown persons" are involved, the students claim that they recognized the people who attacked them, so they state that one of the attackers is a member of the Serbian Progressive Party and a member of the municipal council of the municipality of Novi Beograd, Milija Koldžić.
At the session of the Novi Belgrade Municipal Assembly on December 10, the opposition's request for the dismissal of Koldžić was considered, but it was decided that he should remain in his position. 26 councilors voted against his dismissal, while 22 councilors voted for it.
Arrests of rapists in Novi Sad
Four thugs who beat citizens in Novi Sad near the Futoška market while delivering mail to the victims were taken into custody by the police, writes Danas.

They were brought to the Stari grad police station because it is suspected that during the blockade of the intersection near the Futoška market, they got out of the vehicle and physically attacked the citizens. They first started insulting the gathered citizens, then started beating people randomly and gave them several blows with hands and feet, and then they moved away from the scene.
For now, two citizens have been diagnosed with injuries, but there are more citizens who are waiting for an examination at the Clinical Center of Vojvodina (KCV).
Before that, a driver drove a jeep through the crowd and on that occasion hit a young man, who is currently in the KCV where he is receiving medical help.
