Citizens' assemblies Novi Sad announced that on Sunday (October 26) at 11:52 a.m. they will gather at more than 30 locations across the city.
The action "5 to 12" is being organized in anticipation of the large commemorative gathering that will be held on November 1, at which mail will be given to those who died in the fall of the canopy of the Novi Sad railway station.
"Through these symbolic gatherings, citizens of all parts of the city will simultaneously raise their voices as a sign of unity, solidarity and common concern for the future of our city and country," the citizens' assemblies state.
They add that the goal of the local assemblies is to organize citizens to help students, as well as to collect donations for the organization of the assembly on November 1.
A large commemorative gathering in Novi Sad has been announced for November 1, on the occasion of the anniversary of the canopy fall, when 16 people died and one person was seriously injured.
Students from different parts of the country will walk to the rally in the capital of Vojvodina, and the group from Belgrade will leave on October 30.
