After several years of constant growth, the real estate market recorded a drop in sales in the first three months of this year compared to the same period last year, according to data from the Republic Geodetic Institute.
The total number of sales on the real estate market in the first quarter of 2023 was 29.275, which is 9,5 percent less than in the first quarter of 2022.
On the other hand, more money was spent for the purchase of real estate in this period than in the same period last year, a total of 1.642.369.253 euros, which represents a growth of 2,6 percent.
Most real estate was sold in Belgrade, where 6.924 sales contracts were signed.
According to the data of the Republic Geodetic Institute, seven percent of real estate was paid for from credit funds, which is five percentage points less compared to the same period of the previous year.
Apartments in Belgrade on the water reached the highest prices, where the most expensive square meter was sold for 11.474 euros. The most expensive apartment, with an area of 383 square meters, was paid 2.601.888 euros.
