Four cities on the territory of Serbia were boiling today, and the temperature did not drop significantly even after 17:XNUMX p.m., according to the data of RHMZ.
In these cities, 17 degrees Celsius was measured at 38 p.m.
The tropical heat could also be felt by the citizens of Palić, Novi Sad, Zrenjanin, Kikinda, Kragujevac, Negotin, Kruševac and Ćuprije, where only one degree less was measured.
In Zaječar, Kraljevo, Belgrade, Valjevo and Loznica, there was also no significant difference in temperature, and it was 36 degrees Celsius in these cities.
Escape from the heat can be found in mountainous areas, above all on Kopaonik, where 23 degrees were measured. On Crni Vrh, the temperature was 29 degrees, as well as on Zlatibor.
"In the second decade of July, a strong heat wave continues with maximum temperatures of 35 to 40 degrees, and with tropical nights in urban areas. After July 17 in the north of Serbia, and from July 20 in all regions, a smaller temperature drop of about five degrees. Despite the minor freshening, the period with tropical days (in larger urban areas and tropical nights) with a precipitation deficit is likely to be extended," their website states.
In the Belgrade area, maximum temperatures of 37 to 40 degrees are expected until July 17, and then will drop by about five degrees.
