During the evening hours, the rain on Zlatibor turned into a heavy snowstorm, just like on Kopaonik, which at six o'clock was the coldest in Serbia with minus eight degrees Celsius. reports RTS.
On the territory of the municipalities of Novi Pazar and Raška, light snow is falling. There are no snowdrifts or snow on the roads for now.
The water levels in Mlava, Pek, Neri and Brzava will increase today and will move between the limits of regular and extraordinary flood protection, warned the Republic Hydrometeorological Institute (RHMZ).
In Crni and Beli Timok, Juzna Morava, Toplica, Veternica, Jablanica, Pustoj, Nišava, Rasina, Jasenica, Kubršnica and Tamiš near Jaša Tomić, the water levels will increase and will move around the limits of regular flood protection. Local spills are possible on the smaller torrential watercourses of those basins, the RHMZ stated.
Meteorologists announce that today will be a cloudy, cold and windy day with snowfall. The most precipitation is expected in the morning and before noon. A strong northerly wind will blow, so a blizzard and snow drifts are expected in the hilly and mountainous areas.
Along with snow, rain is expected in Vojvodina, Timok Krajina and the southeast. Precipitation will weaken in the afternoon and evening. The temperature will be without major fluctuation, from minus one to three, in the far north and in Negotinska Krajina up to eight degrees.
The following days will be cold, with frost in the morning. On Wednesday, it will be cloudy, with snow in places, in the central and southern regions with a slight increase in the snow cover. The wind will weaken in the afternoon, except in Timočka Krajina, where it will continue to be strong, occasionally stormy.
On Thursday, most of the day will be dry, in the evening, during the night and on Friday, light precipitation is expected.
