While Belgrade is flying over military aircraft, and New Belgrade asphalt destroy tanks and other military vehicles in preparation for parade which will also mark the Day of Serbian Unity, Freedom and Flag, but five days late, news arrives from Gadžina Han that the state manifestation on the occasion of this holiday will be held in that place.
The solemn state manifestation on the occasion of the Day of Serbian Unity, Freedom and the National Flag will be held on September 15 in Gadžina Han, announced the President of the Municipality Milisav Filipović, writes Južne vesti.
Filipović invited all Zaplanj residents to attend the state ceremony in front of the Municipality building in Gadžino Han.
"Dear Zaplanjci, thanks to the President of the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Aleksandar Vučić, and the Minister of Labour, Employment, Social and Veterans' Affairs, Ms. Milica Đurđević Stamenkovski, it was a great honor for us to celebrate this year's national event, the Day of Serbian Unity, Freedom and the National Flag here, in our municipality," announced Filipović.
According to his announcement, the ceremony will be held on Monday (September 15) at 11:30 a.m. on Dragutin Matić Square, in front of the Gadžin Han Municipality building.
Why is September 15 celebrated?
The Day of Serbian Unity, Freedom and the National Flag is a national holiday that is celebrated on September 15 in the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Srpska.
It is not on the list of non-working days, since it is not yet on the list of religious, working or non-working holidays in Serbia, it is celebrated unofficially, but with the support of the Government of Serbia.
In honor of the holiday, but five days later, on Saturday, September 20, the "Strength of Unity" military parade will be held in front of the "Serbia" Palace in Belgrade.
