Reactive and repressive measures do not produce good results

"From direct conversations with teachers, parents and children - since I was part of the team that provided educational support both in the Vladislav Ribnikar school and in other schools that came forward because they were worried - I conclude that there is still a huge amount of fear, mistrust and concerns. Apart from the fear of security, which exists for everyone, there is concern and questioning among parents about what schools can offer their children.

Educators received less salary over the summer

According to the Union of Education Workers' Union of Serbia, this reduction ranges from around 4.000 dinars and even up to 10.000 dinars. The reason is the way of calculating earnings during the annual vacation and non-payment of overtime work for the period when there are no classes

Don't underestimate us

"For most of the high school students, last week's protests were the first in which they participated. They have only now understood what it means to protest, that it is one of the ways of expressing dissatisfaction. Those big protests are fascinating to us because we see so many people in front of the Assembly and a river of people in Knez Miloš. The participants are all cultured and nice, there are no excesses, everything goes smoothly. If someone accidentally catches someone in that crowd, an apology and the answer 'it doesn't matter' immediately follow."
