Employees in pharmacies, laboratories, central supply warehouse and related services Pharmacy institutions "Belgrade" they entered the one-day class today suspension of work.
The manager of the pharmacy at the Palilula Health Center, Milina Marić, says that this is the first time they have decided to do so, although all employees have come to their workplaces. He adds that they decided to do so because they could no longer provide adequate provision of primary health care, that is, they could not provide a continuous supply of medicines, N1 announced.
He points out that they are below the minimum, and the management informed them last week that they no longer have any way to provide even that minimum, nor that they can hope for a new quantity of medicines.
"Admittedly, the city of Belgrade did send aid, that reprogram that everyone is talking about, 1,3 billion, which it should pay for three years every month in equal installments for most of those large suppliers, but, unfortunately, it should have been done last year, not to say at this time, it was delayed until April, and that caused a very large number of other debts and an even bigger problem, so that did not solve the problem, but we reached a dead end situation and after that collegium the administrators decided to go to their work organizations and together with all the employees we made a decision to go public today and to inform people what the situation is and that the supply, I say, continuous, safe supply of that strategic tool such as a medicine for a country and for citizens is at risk," she pointed out.
When asked how the citizens reacted to the suspension of work, she states that they have had problems since April last year, and that she has not had a single case of people getting angry since this morning.
And when she comments on the statement of the mayor of Belgrade, Aleksandar Šapić, who said that he has no intention of returning to the case of Apoteka Belgrade and that he has already proposed either to go into privatization or to have someone appear who would take it under a concession, she assesses that he really wanted to help, he should have invited them to a meeting and to see why they did not agree with his proposal.
She adds that a few weeks ago they received the second part of their April salary, and if they had accepted Šapić's proposal, the issue of their salaries would probably have been resolved, but as citizens, they would have lost a lot, because they would have devastated the entire primary health care, which, according to her, is the basis of the stability of a country.
Tomorrow Apoteka Beograd will be open during normal working hours.
