The oil industry of Serbia (NIS) contracted to import the first quantities of crude oil via the Adriatic Pipeline (JANAF) for the needs of the Oil Refinery Pancevo, which will enable the resumption of production in that refinery, it was announced on the NIS website.
The first quantities of crude oil are expected in the Pancevo refinery during the next week, and the plan is to import new quantities of crude oil.
In accordance with the dynamics of deliveries, according to the announcement, NIS plans to start the start-up activities at the Pancevo Oil Refinery.

With a special license issued by the US Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) on December 31, 2025, the NIS company was once again enabled to carry out operational activities until January 23 of this year, including restarting refinery processing, importing crude oil, as well as conducting transactions necessary for security of supply and technical maintenance.
