Former tennis player Tatjana Ječmenica died in traffic accident on Friday evening at Orlovača loop.

Her husband was in the vehicle with her.

Her car collided with a truck.

Ječmenica was born in Novi Sad in 1978. She was a professional tennis player and coach of the Fed Cup national team of Serbia and Montenegro.

She won six ITF singles tournaments and three doubles tournaments.

She participated in all four Grand Slams.

Her best ranking on the WTA list was 72nd place.

After finishing her playing career, she devoted herself to coaching and working at the tennis school "Ječmenica" in Novi Sad.
