While the Fifth Belgrade High School is still under blockade, the relevant ministry has come up with an incredible plan.
The Ministry of Education stated that it is in agreement with the administration Fifth Belgrade Gymnasium and the administrations of primary schools that cede part of their space, provided the conditions for the implementation and normalization of the teaching process until the gymnasium is unblocked.
They remind that he is the acting director of the Fifth Belgrade High School Danka Nesovic appointed for a certain period of time in order to organize the teaching process and conduct a public competition procedure for the selection of a new school director, noting that blocking the teaching process and school work is illegal.
"Despite the fact that the decision to announce a competition for a director was made in accordance with the law, in the conditions of the blockade it was not possible to announce and technically conduct a competition for a new director," the Ministry stated. "Once again, we call on the people who prevent the work of the Fifth Belgrade Gymnasium to end the blockades, because they not only deny students the right to education and employees the right to work, but also prevent the functioning of the educational institution as a whole."
Nothing was done.
Although it was planned that the blockade of this gymnasium would last for two weeks, she is already well over a month old. The demands of the children from this school are replacement of acting director Danka Nešović and the return of suspended professors, who were punished by the regime for striking and supporting student protests.
Minister of Education Dejan Vuk Stanković stated that the blockade of the Fifth Belgrade Gymnasium "an attempt to start the renewal of the colored revolution in education".
