The attack took place near the "Čele kula" Elementary School, where they attend classes, because the building of the "Stevan Sremac" Gymnasium is unsafe, Juzne Vesti reports.
They say that the attackers fled, while the police and the administration of the First Niš High School remain silent.
Two police cars and an ambulance were at the "Čele kula" Elementary School, and a fourth-grade student at the "Stevan Sremac" Gymnasium testified that three young men with t-shirts over their faces and carrying a lighted torch and a pole came earlier.
"It happened during a big break. We were standing in front of the school and we were going to the next class. I think there were three of them, I don't know who they are. They were chasing two guys from our school, from 'Sremac', since we are now there in "Čele kula". "One was carrying a torch and the other had a bat or a pole," said the student.
She also stated that one of the attackers almost hit a student of the "Stevan Sremac" Gymnasium with a torch, but the teachers intervened.
The attackers fled when the teachers started shouting at the children to enter the school, the student says, and the teachers also witnessed this.
The principal of "Ćele kula" primary school, Vladimir Ristić, says that he has no information about the attack, that he was at school until 16 p.m. and that he does not know what happened after that.
