Supreme Prosecutor Zagorka Dolovac pointed out that she did not know about the meeting in the BIA before the elections for the prosecutors who will be members of the new convocation High Prosecutorial Council, at which, the media reported, certain prosecutors were pressured to vote for the regime's candidates.
"I found out about the meeting only two days ago, from the prosecutor Milijana Dončić, the prosecutor of the Appellate Prosecutor's Office in Kragujevac, and not that she informed me, but I heard some, so to speak, voices, that it was said that something like that had happened, and then I called her on the phone to ask her if it was true and she confirmed that it was true and that they were there and that the topic of the conversation was exactly that," said Dolovac.
The President of the VST, Branko Stamenković, then proposed that a working body of the Council be formed to verify allegations of influence, however, the proposal did not pass.
Seven members voted in favor, while Minister Nenad Vujić and Vladimir Simić were against, and prosecutors Predrag Milovanović and Boris Pavlović were absent.
