As a sign of protest against the decision of the Ministry of Education on the dismissal of Goran Cvijović, the employees of the school announced a complete suspension of work from January 9, and all responsible managers in the certified organizations of the Air Force Academy - 15 of them - will submit their irrevocable resignations on the same day, as a result of which the school will lose all certificates which it currently has
At its meeting on January 3, 2025, the Council of Parents of the Aviation Academy in Belgrade condemned the decision of the Ministry of Education to dismiss the director, Dr. Goran Cvijović, after an extraordinary inspection at that school. In the press release, the parents of the students of this school offer their full support to the director and teachers and believe that this is a "classic example of a political change of director", and that the Ministry's decision is "very sloppily written and, in most points, legally unfounded".
As a sign of protest against this decision of the competent Ministry, the employees of the school announced a complete suspension of work from January 9, and all responsible managers in the certified organizations of the Air Force Academy - 15 of them - will submit their irrevocable resignations on the same day, which will cause the school to lose all the certificates it currently has. This means that pupils and students of the Aviation Academy will not be able to obtain the necessary licenses and certificates at the end of their studies, which calls into question their right to education, professional orientation and future careers in the aviation industry.

In the press release of the Council of Parents, it is emphasized that it is not clear what were the criteria on the basis of which the Ministry of Education appointed the new acting director Miroslav Lepir, a member of the city administration of the municipality of Vršac, who, according to the statement, does not have a single day of experience in managing any educational institution nor in jobs related to the aviation industry, and it is not known whether it meets the criteria prescribed by the current Law on the Basics of the Education System.
Because of all this, the parents believe that the real reasons for the dismissal of director Goran Cvijović are "hidden in the pressures from the political structures of the city of Vršac", and that as political revenge for the fact that director Cvijović in October 2024 dismissed Miloš Đokić, the responsible manager of the Pilot Training Center in Vršac, due to a series of omissions that seriously threatened the safety of training and the lives of students of the Aviation Academy. That is why the director appointed an instructor pilot, captain Davor Lukić, who has extensive experience in managing pilot training and in commercial traffic in major international companies and Air Serbia, in Đokić's place.
Believing that there is no compromise regarding the safety of children and their future, the Council of Parents of the Aviation Academy supports all the demands of the employees, asks the Minister of Education Slavica Đukić Dejanović to cancel the decision by which Goran Cvijović was dismissed from the position of director, and warns that the pupils and students of this school will not be in opportunities to attend classes until all employee requirements are met. Among other things, the parents ask the competent minister who and for what reason issued the order to the republican inspectorate for extraordinary inspection supervision of the work of the school principal, and clearly raise the question of responsibility if this school loses not only the authorizations of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) but also important contracts that as a school in dual education, it has with MTU Maintenance Serbia, Air Serbia, MUP RS and other companies and institutions.

Arrests out of the blue, banishment from the country, beatings... All this happened to us in the last week alone. The Serbian Progressive Party, born from the foam left behind by their spiritual father Vojislav Šešelj, is returning to its roots. I can't escape from myself
"The levers of power are not in their hands," said Bishop Grigorije. "But there is something in the Holy Scriptures that I like very much, and that is that the power of God is revealed in weakness. So, all worldly power is on one side. And on the other side, in the hands of these young men and women is the weakness of this world. But in their weakness, the power of God or God's justice appears. That is why they are at such a great advantage."
The regime and its media have been trumpeting the "civil war" for months, and the government is the only one that has a patent for peace and stability - of course, with the help of the propaganda machine and the use of force. "It is a propaganda tactic of SNS that says: 'violence is everywhere, terrorists surround us, but we are here to save you,'" explains communication professor Jelena Kleut for "Vreme".
Students and citizens who accompany them on these walking feats, were welcomed as the most native together with those who came the day before from other places. A dove of peace was also released on the stage next to the promenade along the river - this symbolic gesture of the two students is the most impressive gesture of understanding and respect between the Bosniak and Serbian peoples since the end of the wars in the former Yugoslavia
The three-day parliament for the promotion of Aleksandar Vučić and his Movement for the People and the State was realistically a fiasco. But it was first of all conceived as a media spectacle for regime television directed by court promoter Željko "DJ Žeks" Mitrović, with scenography and iconography adapted to the Serbian political market.
RTS is blocked, universities do not work, and threats, insults and calls to the prosecutor's office and the police to arrest blockers, rioters and terrorists are pouring out from the top of the government. The Serbian state has turned into a farce
Anyone who condemns the regime's targeting of people from the media, the non-governmental sector, the opposition and universities, must not agree to this targeting of RTS editors and journalists either.
