The workers started cutting the pieces Old Sava bridge on Thursday, March 3, from the side of Belgrade on the water, and the activists of the organization "The Bridge Remains" said that the bridge was a victim of the construction of that settlement.
The writer Dejan Atanacković said that today is a sad day, because the bridge is disappearing, but he also pointed out that the citizens of Belgrade did not respond in sufficient numbers to fight and preserve this symbol of the city.
According to him, this is not just a fight for the preservation of an infrastructure facility, but a fight for the rule of law, justice and the state.
We will not allow this criminal regime to tear down anything or build anything anymore, claims Atanacković.
Activist Branislav Radosavljević thanked his colleagues who spent five months in a tent near the bridge, in order to prevent its demolition, stressing that it was wrong to "address the words of Mika Antic to those who listen to Baja Mali Knindza".
