The new Minister for Human and Minority Rights, Demo Berisha, was supposed to meet with the representatives Albanian National Council (NSA). However, the representatives of the NSA did not meet with the minister because, according to the president of the NSA, Enkel Redzepi, the Government of Serbia is not fulfilling its obligations regarding the position of the Albanian minority, they write. Redzepi said that the Government is not implementing the Seven-Point Plan, it is not integrating Albanians, it is not recognizing Kosovo diplomas according to the Brussels and Washington agreements.
"Over the years, we have shown readiness for institutional constructive cooperation with all levels of government, with the aim of solving key issues for the Albanians of the Preševo Valley. The government does not fulfill its obligations, and at the same time it carries out selective passivation of Albanians (deletion from addresses), blocks subsidization of Albanian farmers, does not bring investments. In fact, it ignores the problems of Albanians," said Redzepi.
According to him, new meetings and dialogue are not needed to prolong the problem, but concrete action. That is, the implementation of what was signed and approved.
"The time has come to end the dialogue game without results," he said.
He added that he expects this ministry, as well as the Government and all institutions in Belgrade, to show seriousness and take clear steps that will lead to respect for the rights of Albanians.
According to Bujanovačke, Minister Berisha is not supported or recognized by the Albanian community in Serbia.
"Dialogue is the best solution"
On Tuesday (April 29), the minister met with the acting director of the Coordination Body Service, Nenad Mitrović, "with whom he discussed the steps of future cooperation."
As KT announced, at the meeting the mutual will was expressed for a regular exchange of information and continuous communication in order to improve the position and resolve the issues of the residents of the municipalities of Preševo, Bujanovac and Medveđa.
They agree that dialogue, based on mutual respect and cooperation with all relevant institutions, is the best way to reach concrete solutions to all open issues.
Minister Beriša held a meeting with representatives of national councils of national minorities in Serbia, which was attended by representatives of 23 out of a total of 24 national communities in Serbia.
