At the protest in Rača due to the collapse of the ceiling in the elementary school in Saranov, the citizens presented specific demands - from criminal charges against the contractor and the supervisory authority, to resignations in the municipal council. The fall of the structure weighing almost one ton could have had catastrophic consequences
The tragedy at the Elementary School "Karađorđe" in Saranovo was avoided by chance because the ceiling fell in the night between April 21 and 22, when no one was in the school due to the holidays.
On the first working day after Easter, it was discovered that the ceiling had fallen and the students were sent home for safety reasons.
Last night's protest rally was organized by members of the informal group Mladi iz Rača together with students from that place, and was attended by the residents of Saranov, Rače, parents of children and members of the Free University of Kragujevac.
One of the students from Rača, Milica Veljković, read six requests that will be handed over to the President of the Municipality of Rača, Branko Radosavljević, tomorrow.
We demand that everyone who participated in the renovation of Karađorđe elementary school be held accountable, that the investor, the president of the municipality of Rača, file a criminal complaint against the contractor and the supervisory authority, that the safety of all public facilities, especially those where children stay, be investigated and the public be informed about this, said Milica Veljković.
She emphasized that at the same time, the resignation of certain members of the Municipal Council is also requested and yes
The Prosecutor's Office will examine the implementation of public procurement and the spending of funds for the renovation of the school and the circumstances under which the value of the works has been increased many times over.

On Saturday (May 17), Nis gathered the citizens of Serbia. Some came to the National Assembly organized by the Movement for the People and the State, where the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, will speak, while others came to the protest of the students in the blockade called "Elect(we)se". What was going on?
The students in the blockade are allegedly working on the election list, but who knows when the elections will be. That's why they decided not to go public with the names
The government of Aleksandar Vučić is trying to suppress the rebellion at the universities by means of existential mortification, by canceling the salaries of faculty professors in the blockade. Without solidarity in society, she will be able to do that
On one square in Niš, a rally by Aleksandar Vučić, on another, a gathering of students in a blockade. A close encounter between supporters of progressive and different Serbia is inevitable
Citizens from different parts of Belgrade and Serbia gathered in front of the Central Prison to support Marija Vasić, a member of the Free Citizens Movement. Her hospitalization after the hunger strike caused violent reactions and led to a spontaneous gathering, accompanied by slogans and symbols of civil resistance.
The Republic of Serbia is in danger. If we remain silent on the rigged process against political prisoners in Novi Sad and the Kraljeva case where the victims were declared violent, soon we will all go on hunger and thirst strikes for a shred of justice
The regime's retaliation will be dire if the resistance falters. Now they want to imprison the people who talked about overthrowing the government because they were supposedly overthrowing the state. But the state was hijacked and overthrown by the regime a long time ago
The Ministry of Public Investment submitted a request for a building permit for the construction of a new building for the Belgrade Philharmonic. Given that it is known that the project is too expensive and that there is no money for it, it seems that this too is just another colorful lie
