Almost a full two weeks since the maintenance local elections u Zajecaru i To Kosjerić, the Higher Court in Zaječar accepted the appeal of the electoral list "Change in which we believe" and issued a verdict annulling the decision of the City Election Commission of the city of Zaječar from June 14 this year, which rejected 71 objections of that list.
The ruling means that the City Election Commission will have to decide again on the objections filed by the "Change we believe in" list.
From the announcement of the verdict, GIK has 10 days to decide on objections. If GIK Zaječara again rejects the objections of the "Change we believe in" list, there is again the right to appeal to the court. In that case, the final decision will be made by the High Court in Zaječar.
What does the complaint relate to?
The appeal was filed due to the incorrect application of substantive law. As stated in the explanation, the court found that the appeal was timely, allowed and submitted by an authorized person.
The appeal refers to the objection of the opposition list regarding the irregularities at polling station number 13.
In the complaint, among the irregularities, it is stated that in front of the polling station, vehicles with SNS activists who kept voter records, including the possession of a parallel extract from the voter list, were observed, that a group was observed that bribed voters, offering them money, alcohol, packages of food products to vote.
In the complaint, it was also stated that in several cases the secrecy of voting was violated, that ballots were photographed, that a UV lamp was not used, that voting was enabled for people who were registered in the voter's list, but did not have a registered place of residence, but only a place of residence.
The list "Changes in which we believe" submitted 71 objections, and according to the president of the commission, Nenad Dinulović, they were rejected due to formal and legal deficiencies, and seven objections from the list "United to save Zaječar" were rejected as unfounded.
