On Sunday at noon, the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, for the umpteenth time, once again spoke on television to those he wants to convince that he is still the great leader who keeps everything under control and whom no one can do anything to. And yes on the streets of Serbia on orders from abroad, the blockaders carry out "terror and savagery".
The address was announced at 12:00, Vučić appeared at 12:14 in the presence of Minister of Internal Affairs Ivica Dačić, Police Director Dragan Vasiljević, Police Brigade Commander Radoslav Repac and Gendarmerie Commander Saša Kosović.
The four of them didn't say a single word. They didn't even see each other on the screen. Only Aleksandar Vučić was in the close-up
Professional media, if present, were not allowed to ask questions.
The story of blockade terrorism
Vučić spoke rather confusedly. He did not finish his thoughts, he jumped from one story to another, but they all came down to the "color revolution", to "terrorist blockaders", to the fact that the forces of chaos and destruction led and financed from abroad want to destroy Serbia. All that he repeated many times and that the regime media repeats every day.
He also read the paragraph of the Criminal Code of Serbia that defines terrorism, as the ultimate proof that terrorist actions are being carried out in Serbia as part of mass protests. He incoherently implicated the German Bader-Meinhof terrorist group and the murder of Aldo Mora.
He repeatedly repeated that the only thing left for the "blockade-terrorists" was to start killing people and that it wouldn't be later if he hadn't said it.
He repeatedly repeated the latest marketing slogan "occupation media services", which, of course, are all the media that criticize his government, and that they are harnessed to support terrorism and color revolution.
He also insisted that he, like all decent citizens of Serbia, anxiously waits every day to see who the terrorists decided to kill in the evening, who to burn alive.
New "surprising" measures
The essence of the entire address is contained in a few sentences about how the state will stand in the way of "heinous crimes against our country".
Vučić announced "surprising decisions". He said that citizens will "seem as if the state has withdrawn", but that then, in six to seven days, they will see all its determination to restore order and peace, because it will take that long to create "formal and legal frameworks for the state's reaction".
Because now "gangs rule the streets and think they have the right to beat, burn, and demolish, because tens of thousands of illegal, criminal gatherings were held."
When asked by a journalist whether he intends to introduce a state of emergency, he answered in the negative.
The only thing that can be inferred from these threats to students and citizens is the eventual formation of a special prosecutor's office for terrorism that would summarily bring charges for terrorism before qualified judges who would try summarily.
And maybe another "surprise" is in store
In any case, the journalists of the "occupation media services" should be careful.
