Protests in Serbia
The people of Novi Sad say: "Cowards, call the elections"
Another protest is being held in Novi Sad, where those gathered are demanding, among other things, the calling of elections
The concerned pro-regime tabloid Informer has "information" that the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, could step down from that position in the next three months. "Vremen" interlocutors believe that there is no room for panic among Vučić's fans, because it is a propaganda trick. Some, however, are literally crying. Vučić comforted from Brussels that "he will never run away"
The pro-regime tabloid Informer announced that the president of Serbia would Aleksandar Vučić could resign, which would lead to him, alas, leaving office. Informer illustrated the generosity of his patron by saying that "no one is asking Vučić to resign, not even a few students who, under the influence of Western services, are trying to destroy Serbia".
The interlocutors of "Vremen" assess that this is just another propaganda move by Vučić, which he always does when his ratings start to drop.
Terrified and fed up with everything
The concerned Informer stated that Vučić's resignation could happen in the next three months, whereby Serbia, instead of reconstructing the Government, would win elections at all levels.
"It is entirely possible that Vučić would not have taken part in the parliamentary elections either," pointed out the Informer, clearly worried about the future.
Thanks to its always well-informed, but shy sources who always remain anonymous, the Informer has obtained "information" worth its weight in gold that Vučić "harshly criticized, behind closed doors, the entire government", that he spoke of coalition partners "with horror". and said that he is "satisfied with everything, and he is not at all afraid of the wretches and opposition scum, as well as their external bosses."
"Surfacing the Worst Sediment"
Nevertheless, in order not to completely ruin the upcoming holidays for his fans, and for some even their entire lives, Vučić said on Thursday from Brussels:
"There are moments in history when, due to various events, the worst sediment, the sludge, comes to the surface. There comes a moment when they think it's time to surface. Should I run away because I raised Serbia, because I don't beat women like them, to run away from those who destroyed this country? I will never".
Message to voters: The situation is serious
Explaining Vučić's announcement, political scientist and research associate of the Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory, Dejan Bursać, told "Vreme" that SNS often resorts to such threats.
"Vučić has threatened to withdraw and resign many times, and he often uses this to let his party organization and then the voters know that the situation is serious," said Bursać.
He pointed out that the fact is that Vučić is much more popular than SNS, that he is the "glue" that holds SNS together and that the moment "when he is no longer in the equation, SNS will no longer have to maintain high ratings".
"On the one hand, by announcing his withdrawal, Vučić wants to shake his own base, and on the other hand, it is probably a way of throwing a hook at the other side, whoever it is," Bursać said.
Vučić's actions towards students are ridiculous
He added that an additional problem is that in a situation where students are protesting, and with diffuse forms of civil disobedience all over Serbia, "there is no clear political other side to which SNS can apply its standard methods."
That's why Vučić makes moves that Bursać says look ridiculous to students.
"We saw what happened with apartments, where Vučić offered apartments to students, and they published an analysis that it was not profitable, and emphasized that it was offensive and served to divert attention from the topic," Bursać reminded.
Brnabić can "humanly understand"
Vučić's subordinates reacted with panic to Vučić's announcement of withdrawal.
The President of the Serbian Parliament, Ana Brnabić, said that she can "humanly understand" if Vučić is thinking of resigning, "because attempts to destabilize the country where he is exposed to hatred have been going on for years", but she pointed out that such a move by Vučić would be "politically disastrous".
"I could understand that he has had enough of that." But we have to do several big things that we promised the citizens by 2027. Let's finish the EXPO, reach an average salary of 1.400 euros, continue economic reforms, work on infrastructure projects," said Brnabić.
She pointed out that "Vučić is needed" for that, but she did not fail to emphasize what the public in Serbia has been hearing about for years with admiration - that Vučić "does not know how to rest and competes with himself in work".
She very wisely concluded that "attempts to destabilize the state - because some in Serbia and the world are bothered by its independent, independent policy - have been going on since Vučić became the Prime Minister of Serbia, then the President".
Minister without portfolio on reputation and respect
Concern was also expressed by Nenad Popović, the mostly invisible minister without portfolio in charge of international economic cooperation and the social position of the church in the country and abroad, who called on Vučić not to resign.
"I call on President Vučić, as the leader with the greatest legitimacy and reputation in Serbia, not to resign from the position of President of Serbia," said Popović.
He assessed that at this complex moment in international relations, "Thanks to President Vučić, Serbia has secured respect and respect, leading an independent and independent policy."
Inconsolable Glišić
However, the most moving address, somewhat unexpectedly, came from the proverbially sharp and emotion-resistant mind of the Minister of Public Investments and President of the Executive Board of the Serbian Progressive Party, Darko Glišić, who literally cried at the mention of the possibility of Vučić's resignation.
"Just don't let Vučić leave us." "Don't let Vučić leave us, everything else is fine, just don't let Vučić leave us, because if Vučić leaves us, it will be hard for us," Glišić said.
If someone did not understand, the essence of his presentation is - just don't let Vučić leave us.

When there is a crisis - elections
When it comes to elections, Dejan Bursać indicated that it was never ruled out, because SNS resorted to elections in every crisis or critical situation in which it was necessary to postpone social processes.
He reminded that the previous elections were called only four days after the incident in Banjska "in order to take international pressure off the SNS".
"I'm not sure how well the elections suit the SNS at the moment. The resignation of the president would cause elections for which SNS does not have a ready candidate, because Vučić cannot run for office once again, and it seems to me that this story is, for now, a political bluff. "It is not excluded that SNS will resort to elections, but the talk of presidential elections does not seem certain, at least in the short term," said Bursać.
Milivojević: Vučić is leading Serbia towards "Assadization"
The president of the Democratic Party, Srđan Milivojević, first emphasized that "absolutely nothing trusts Vučić" and stated that Vučić denied that statement with the statement that "he does not want to leave the government that has lost its legitimacy to anyone".
"Vučić is leading Serbia towards Assadization and attempts to flee the country." "I see this as an attempt to escape by Aleksandar Vučić," said Milivojević.
He stated that he "must remind" Vučić that there was room in the plane of the deposed president of Syria Bashar al-Assad - only for Assad.
"I think that his ministers and associates will not let Vučić escape without taking them with him, and he plans to escape like Assad - without them." Therefore, the question is not what Vučić thinks, but what his associates think, who feel threatened by his statement that he will resign," said Milivojević.
Fake elections unacceptable
He pointed out that Vučić also stated that there will be neither a technical nor a transitional government, "which is the only way to get out of the deep political crisis".
"Vučić's fake elections, in which he would allegedly step down from the post of President of the State, in order to run for Prime Minister, where it would turn into a show of the mafia - are unacceptable for the Democratic Party. "I cannot accept that we are deceiving the citizens with Vučić's elections, that we are complicit in the defense of the regime, because we are the loudest advocates of the necessity of overthrowing the regime," said Milivojević.
He emphasized that the Democratic Party will never accept "the extended hand of Aleksandar Vučić for provoking a civil war".
"We are absolutely committed to a non-violent change of government, and we will not allow Vučić to turn Serbia into Syria," said Milivojević.
"Arsenal of Evil"
Since the scenario of the regime with allegedly "disgruntled citizens" who from time to time provoke peaceful citizens who pay their respects to the victims of the Novi Sad tragedy, and who also like to physically attack them and "run them over" on the hoods of their cars - does not produce results, we could not, and let's not ask Milivojević if he thinks Vučić is ready to "add gas" to that aggression.
"Vučić has an unlimited arsenal of evil. Even in the nineties, we saw what that man is ready for when his power is threatened. We remember that his political father, Vojislav Šešelj, pulled a heckler on the students," Milivojević reminded.
He emphasized that those provocateurs are not "disgruntled citizens" but well-paid representatives of the top regime.
"They came knowingly to cause a conflict, they are arsonists who came to play with matches on an overfilled powder keg." Fortunately, the citizens do not allow them to reach the fuse and light the barrel. I believe that the regime of Aklexandr Vučić will reach for evil, but on the other hand, he will not find the answer he wants, because he only has to start the fifth war, the only one he has not yet lost - a war against his own people. "He lost all the previous ones he led, incited and inspired," Milivojević concluded.
