Four people were arrested on suspicion of damaging tractors parked near Pionirski Park in Belgrade between March 14 and 15 this year, the Ministry of the Interior announced.
AD (21), DM (27), AT (20) and DC (34) were arrested, while another person who has been identified is being sought.
The suspects were detained for up to 48 hours.
They are suspected of having committed the crime of violent behavior at a sports event or public gathering.
Protest in front of the police department
The students in the blockade gathered in front of the Police Department for Belgrade, as a sign of protest that their former colleague Dimitrije Mijušković was detained and detained for up to 48 hours, and charged with violent behavior at a public gathering.
Citizens, as well as students from Belgrade secondary schools, arrived in front of the headquarters of the Belgrade police.
The sister of the arrested Dimitrije Mijušković thanked everyone for their support.
"My brother was just passing by that Ćaciland and did nothing, but he was legitimized. He was operated on on Saturday and has a small open wound, he needs adequate care, bandages," said Mijušković's sister, emphasizing that her brother experienced "a classic example of mistreatment" and being placed in inhumane conditions caused by detention.

Tractors in the middle of Belgrade

Tractors were destroyed not only on the day of the protest around Pionirski Park, which appeared in the center of Belgrade a few days before March 15. the day before, some of the tractors have overturned, and many had broken windows and punctured tires.
A large number of tractors were parked on the sidewalk, and some on the road, while some of the machines were unregistered. Despite this, PUK "Parking Servis" did not move the tractors, which had been leaking oil for days.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said that the tractors were brought to "stop the wave".
"More than 100 tractors were damaged and destroyed, which were not aimed at anyone, but to stop the wave. When you have a mass of people, then you need to have something that can stop that mass in order to prevent a conflict with children in Pionirski Park," stated Vučić in a speech on March 15.
Then the president of Serbia threatened arrests.
"All persons who participated in that destruction will be detained and will be held accountable for criminal acts," said Vučić.
What are the fines?
According to Article 344 of the Criminal Code, violent behavior at a sports event or public gathering is a crime against public order and peace.
This criminal offense is punishable by one to five years in prison, as well as a fine.
If the crime is committed by a group, the punishment is from two to eight years, and the ringleader of the group can be sentenced to prison from three to twelve years.
If there is serious bodily injury or major property damage, the penalty is also from three to twelve years.
An official who fails to provide the necessary measures to prevent disorder may be punished with imprisonment from three months to three years and a fine.
