President Aleksandar Vučić he told TV Pink that he would snap elections in Serbia to be held either on July 12 or in the period from October to the end of November this year.
"Everything is up to you in the next six and a half months at the latest, and maybe in two and a half months. Depending on the situation in the country and the situation in the world, we will be guided by state interests and reasons. I believe that the elections will be democratic," said Vučić.
He announced that he will fully adopt the recommendations of the ODIHR in the National Assembly, as well as the decisions of the Venice Commission, when it comes to the judiciary.
"I expect three percent growth in the first quarter"
The president said that, according to the Eurostat report, no country in Europe has a higher GDP growth rate than Serbia. He expects growth in the first quarter to be three percent and believes that this level will be preserved.
"This would mean that we can count on a significant increase in salaries and pensions, one good news in the sea of difficult ones coming from the world. These are unofficial results, we will know on Monday, we would be better than almost all European countries. It will be an average of 0,8 percent with them, and we will be able to plan an increase in salaries and pensions", pointed out Vučić.
"The solution for NIS should be found by May 22"
President Vučić expects that a solution for NIS will be found by May 22. He believes that Serbia cannot stand out from others, but that it is still somewhat easier while the refinery is working.
"I don't know what those small countries in the area will do that don't have their own refineries, that can't turn oil into jet fuel - into kerosene," Vučić said.
He emphasized that Serbia will not export kerosene and now only exports gasoline.
"We are still exporting gasoline to the region. And to Bosnia and Herzegovina and to some other countries in the region, because we have a surplus. We gave permission for 12.000 tons of gasoline to go out the other day," said Vučić.
"I believe that a high-speed train to Budapest can start by June"
The president pointed out that it depends on the Hungarian side when the high-speed train to Budapest will depart and that they must complete certain technical matters.
"We finished everything a long time ago. I talked and mentioned it to the future Hungarian Prime Minister, Peter Magyar. I also talked about energy projects. I believe that it is in Hungary's interest and I believe that we will open it soon. I believe that we can do it by June," said Vučić.
