President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić he said on Saturday (May 24) that he thinks the state has "acted wisely" so far, which it hasn't violently interrupted the blockades of the institutions, but that in case of attempts to endanger vital systems, the actors will be brought to justice "and will be held very responsible for every crime they committed", reports FoNet.
He pointed out in the Pink television program that the elections "will show who is the majority and decent Serbia", adding that the local elections in Kosjerić and Zaječar are very difficult for the Serbian Progressive Party because these are the areas where they achieved "very bad results".
Asked about the petition to call the election that he submitted yesterday Academic plenary session, Vučić said that he received four petitions on Friday and that the most interesting was the one written by children from the village of Golija.
"Children from several villages in the municipalities of Raška and Sjenica around the roads on Golija wrote to me. Elections will be held when there is a need for it, and let the people think about increased salaries and pensions, and I will think about the children who wrote to me about how many problems they have walking to their schools," Vučić said.
Increased minimum wage
Vučić also announced that as of October 1, the minimum wage should be 500 euros, and as of January 1, 550 euros. However, "because of everything the blockaders have done" the wage increase will be less than expected and it remains to be seen whether it will be "three, four, six, seven percent"
Speaking about SNS members who are in custody for attacking students in front of that party's premises in Novi Sad, Vučić said that they are "heroes because it is not yet known why they are in custody."
"Of course they made a mistake and committed a crime because they went to another street to deal with the attackers," concluded Vučić.
