President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić he stated that Tuesday (March 4) was a difficult day for Serbia, for every normal citizen of this country, because of "thuggish and hooligan behavior" and scenes that have not been seen since the establishment of multi-party system.
Vučić said that he will seek criminal and legal responsibility for those responsible for the scenes in Assembly of Serbia.
"We are waiting for what the prosecution will say, but we will not rest until those who did this are held accountable," Vučić told TV Pink.
He said that the smoke bombs were brought in fraudulently, since they are now made of cardboard and plastic, stating that the deputies brought them in their underwear, not in their bags.
"I am waiting to see what the qualifications of the prosecutor's office will be," he emphasized.
He also assessed that the "blockaders" are lying to themselves that there were a million people in Niš.
"During the rally, even in the 60 surrounding streets, there were no more than 33.000 people for a single second, of which 21.000-22.000 came from the side," said Vučić.
He repeated that ten days ago he said "that they are going for radicalization, they see that they are falling and that the people do not want violence, but stability and peace" and assessed and indicated that "majority Serbia is boiling" because of such a situation.
"We must not respond in their way", Vučić pointed out and added that people tell him that "they are fed up with his calls for peace and dialogue with those who do not want to talk".
"We must not respond with violence or demonstrations"
Vučić also said that the Faculty of Civil Engineering and the Faculty of Law submitted to the plenums the opinion that the demands of the students were not met, because they "hope for a revolution", but they could immediately agree on "money for them".
Vučić assessed that students are much more responsible than their professors, and he doesn't even want to talk about "scumbags in the National Assembly".
"We must not respond with violence or demonstrations," he said, rejecting allegations that the authorities in Belgrade will organize a rally on February 16.
"They are in a hurry, their time is running out to do the dirty work for their bosses, for the colored revolution," said Vučić and added that he will continue to organize rallies throughout Serbia, and eventually in Belgrade.
