President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić stated that the body of the missing person after the shooting on May 12 has not been found happened in the restaurant "27" in Senjak, after which 10 people were arrested, including Veselin Milić, the former head of the Belgrade police.
Former Belgrade police chief Veselin Milić was ordered into custody
Vučić appealed to the media not to publish unverified information about the case of a murder in a restaurant in Senjak.
"Some people think that they can wash socks so that nothing is seen or wash the floor so that nothing is seen. You know, there are techniques and you get fluorescent traces, so you can see that there is literally blood all around. Only these people have not learned that technique and technology have advanced and that they have not managed to hide anything. And that this story has no body, no part is so stupid that I have no words. Imbecile," said Vučić.
The case of Veselin Milić: Corruption kills
He added that the state behaves in this case "professionally, seriously and responsibly", without succumbing to pressure from any side — neither those who have personal motives against the former Belgrade police chief, nor those who defend him without looking at the facts.
"In this case, which is extremely difficult for us, we behaved as a state very professionally, very seriously and very responsibly, not succumbing to the pressures of those who have personal reasons to do or say something against the recent head of the Belgrade police, nor succumbing to the pressures of those who will defend someone and not wondering what really happened," said Vučić.
He repeated the appeal to journalists not to transmit information without confirmation.

"Don't publish news from the street because someone told you. Everyone knows that, they just won't say it. I want to tell you that we still haven't found the body. The search is intense. Entire units are searching. We think we know the area where it could have happened and that the body could have been left, but it's a huge area and a huge number of people are involved in the matter," said Vučić.
Vasiljević: The maximum capacities of the police are working to shed light on the case
Police Director Dragan Vasiljević said that the maximum capacities of the police were engaged in solving the case from Senjak.
He said that there are no protected persons, nor will there be any, and reminded that so far ten people have been detained in connection with this case, four of whom are police officers.
"An intensive search is underway to find the person's body, if it is proven and shown that the person was killed. More than 200 members of the Criminal Police Directorate and various departments of the Criminal Police Directorate are working to shed light on this matter, and since this morning we have also included teams of the special anti-terrorist unit that are searching certain parts of the terrain in the vicinity of Belgrade," he said.
