Commenting on the alleged media campaigns against the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany, Analene Berbock, President Aleksandar Vučić said on Saturday when he was a guest on TV Prva that no television station in Serbia "is on the market alone" and that all of them receive a lot of money from of the state.
"The state feeds everything, from the first to the last, and none of them are on the market alone, but are supplied from the state tank," said Vučić.
"Those people employ 83.000 people in our country, that means 300.000 people live from it, you live from it, I live from it, the owner of your television lives from it, and from the money from advertisements and from the money you get from the state", he said.
In response to the journalist's remark that TV Prva must have received less than other television stations, Vučić said that the TV station received tens of thousands of euros.
Among the comments on social networks of the president's statement were the following: "We, the citizens of Serbia, fill the state jar. Television programs are made according to the directives of the government (more precisely, the master himself), and we fill the tank, who cuts our hair.
Both of them make us donkeys."
"I guess by everything, he means those on national frequencies." He shouldn't have said that because we know. All the same garbage."
And: "Then where does all that money from overpayment for RTS end up, if salaries and expenses cannot be covered from it?"
