Vucevic's resignation will be confirmed on March 18

President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić he stated on Sunday that he would Assembly of Serbia on Tuesday, March 18, to state at the session the resignation of Prime Minister Miloš Vučević.

If the new government is not formed within 30 days, the deadline for announcing elections is 60 days, said Vučić, who is attending the session of the Government of Serbia.

Vučić stated that the realistic deadline is for the elections to be held at the beginning of June.

He asked the Ministries of Health and Defense to help their colleagues in North Macedonia the tragedy that befell them will be less.

As stated by Vučić, referring to the information he received from the head of state of North Macedonia, the number of victims of last night's fire in the discotheque in Kočani could be more than 60.

Vučić said that precisely because of this, aid to North Macedonia must be fast and strong, in order to contribute to saving lives.

"All the best that we can give must be available," said Vučić at the Government session in the Palace of Serbia, convened the day after the large student demonstrations in Belgrade.

Vučić, addressing the members of the Government, emphasized that costs are not important at this moment and that they should initiate all available logistics to help North Macedonia.

Information on the political and security situation in Serbia is also on the agenda of the urgently convened Government session.
