As "Vreme" exclusively learns, former Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Tomislav Momirović has had his house arrest extended for another three months. Momirović is suspected of corruption and abuse of official position as part of the investigation into the damage to the Serbian budget and the obtaining of property benefits for the Chinese consortium during the works on the construction of the Novi Sad - Kelebija railroad.
His detention was extended by the decision of the judge for the preliminary proceedings of the High Court in Belgrade.
Momirović was arrested on August 1 of this year by order of the Public Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime.
In addition to Momirović and Goran Vesić, along with seven other persons, the measure of the prohibition to leave the apartment with the application of electronic surveillance was extended, as well as the measure of approaching, meeting and communicating with certain persons - witnesses, who should be questioned in the further proceedings, FoNet subsequently announced.
