The draft law enabling the implementation of the Expo Belgrade 2027 project will be withdrawn from the parliamentary procedure and forwarded to a public debate, the Government of Serbia announced today. The public will have an opportunity to comment on the proposal over the next month
Government of Serbia announced that it will withdraw the Proposal for the Law on Amendments and Supplements to the Law on Special Procedures for the Implementation of an International Specialized Exhibition from the parliamentary procedure Expo Belgrade 2027 and that it will be referred to a public hearing for additional consultations, and the decision to withdraw will be made at the next Government session.
This Proposal enables the implementation of a project that has been declared a project of importance for Serbia, and whose implementation represents a general interest of importance for the overall economic development of the country.
The decision withdrawing the law from the parliamentary procedure will be found at the next session of the Government of Serbia, after which the competent Committee for Economy and Finance will make a Decision on holding a public debate during the month of June, which will be published on the website of the Ministry of Finance.
