Students in the blockade they announced a big rally in Belgrade for Vidovdan, June 28, and from the top of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) there were allegations about the organization of a counter rally on the same day in Belgrade.
The President of the Republic is a guest on Radio and Television of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić declared that there will be no large gathering of SNS on Vidovdan, nor counter rally, but only "boys from Chacilenda” to organize a literary evening.
"We don't want conflicts. In three months, I will be one of those who will have to physically protect the blockaders from the people," said Vučić in a guest appearance on RTS's morning daily.
As he added, the leaders of SNS are thinking about organizing a rally on the same day or on July 5 in Novi Sad.
About the shooting in Vrnjačka Banja, revenge against the university
Looking back on shooting at the SNS premises in Vrnjačka Banja on Monday (June 16) evening, Vučić revealed that the attacker was Ivan Mladenović.
He said that he was taken into custody and that he would answer, marking him as a participant in "all the protests".
"These are desperate moves by those who lost, they will try some more violence around Vidovdan, when we should gather and take care of Kosovo and Metohija together, and they will look to inflame Serb-Serb conflicts," Vučić claims.
He also announced revenge against dissenters, saying that "those responsible will be brought to justice."
"From those who collapsed our university and education, to those who collapsed all other state institutions. That is, from the Radio and Television of Serbia to the prosecutor's office, the judiciary, the police and many other things in the public sector. The time for responsibility is coming and that, it seems to me, is the best news for the citizens of Serbia," Vučić said.
According to his view, "Serbia, thanks to Rector Đokić, had the largest exodus of students" in history, which was not even during the First and Second World Wars.
He emphasized that this is why changes to the Law on Higher Education are needed and said that he will "make sure" that his proposal gets a majority in the Serbian Parliament.
"According to this bill of mine, we will certainly enable greater rights for private universities, we will certainly enable greater competition, and we will unequivocally enable a fairer and different distribution of financial resources than has been the case up to now," announced Vučić.
Criticism of RTS and the campaign against SNS
Once again, the president used the opportunity to criticize the work of that media company while he was a guest on Radio and Television of Serbia.
Vučić said that one of the examples of the entire campaign against a political option is the example of Radio and Television of Serbia.
"You asked me a question (about the shooting in Vrnjačka Banja), but not about the match between Spartak and Crvena Zvezda, since that is the main news for you, not that someone tried to kill people in the premises of a political party. If I wasn't a guest, it wouldn't even be news to you," said Vučić, addressing the RTS reporter.
He added that this is because in Serbia "it is allowed to kill, under the signs of allegations, lies and untruths, not only him and his family, but also all those who think differently from the blockaders".
"This is a rebellion of the rich that has taken on a new dimension in which they can commit whatever crimes they want," said the President of Serbia.
About the alimony fund, minimum wage, pensions...
The president also touched on the topic that is being discussed in the Serbian Parliament - the alimony fund.
Speaking about the Law on Alimony Fund, Vučić pointed out that it is a matter of fulfilling the obligations and promises of the state.
"Not only towards children and those who are the most vulnerable in our society. You have incredible behavior of some men, spouses and ex-spouses who do not want to pay their obligations, which we will take upon ourselves", emphasized Vučić.
He also referred to housing loans for young people and added that the first quota of about 5.500 people is already being completed.
"Our economy began to grow as the blockade revolution collapsed. I am very happy about the positive development of the situation in the second half of the year. We will show seriousness in the construction of Serbia, highways, science and technology parks and other projects," said Vučić.
The president is convinced that employers will accept the proposal to increase the minimum wage because, as he said, the state will take a significant part of the "burden" upon itself.
He again blamed the blockades for the country's economic situation.
As he said, Serbia is on the right track, VAT is at the expected level and that pensions will be increased significantly more than salaries, even though the blockades have caused enormous damage to the country.
About the elections in Kosjerić and Zaječar
While opposition parties and independent observers have been pointing out numerous irregularities in the local elections in Kosjerić and Zaječar, held on June 8, for more than a week, President Vučić says that the elections ended the moment the minutes were counted without any objection.
"The (social) networks don't decide, the minutes decide. All people know that we publish precise results. There is no game about it. We went before the people and announced the exact results. We are a serious country, as well as a political party, as well as a movement. Someone has to be serious in a country," said Vučić.
