The court ordered Veselin M to be detained for up to 30 days, suspected of having, as the head of the Police Department for the city of Belgrade, committed several criminal acts in order to cover up the committed criminal act of aggravated murder in an attempt at a restaurant in Senjak on May 12, after which AN was reported missing the next day.
His detention was ordered so that he would not destroy, hide, change or falsify evidence or traces of a criminal offense, as well as that he would not interfere with the proceedings by influencing the witnesses, and also considering that there are special circumstances that indicate that he will repeat the criminal offense in a short period of time, the High Court in Belgrade announced.

The suspect presented his defense at the hearing at the High Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade yesterday.
The order on conducting the investigation charges Veselin M. with the criminal offenses of failure to report the criminal offense and the perpetrator and assisting the perpetrator after the crime has been committed.
In addition to this suspect, the order to conduct the investigation includes nine other persons, who will be heard in the prosecutor's office within the legal detention period, about which the public will be informed in a timely manner, according to the court.

Three policemen, the owner and the waiter of the bar in Senjak, where A.N was last seen, were arrested two days ago.
Two murder suspects were previously arrested in that case. The wife of the murder suspect was also arrested on the charge of bringing a gun.
