The clock is ticking. He must appear in the Assembly by April 18 new prime minister otherwise, new elections would be held. And that option of new elections is not to the liking of President Aleksandar Vučić, who knows that this would bring even more sparked protests that have been rumbling through Serbia for five months.
Vučić himself hinted at an expert government, and it seems that the mandate is being sought in the United States, as in the early 1990s, when Milan Panić, an American businessman of Serbian origin, became the Prime Minister of the FRY.
Now Vučić said that there are three or four names of candidates for the mandate for the composition of the new government, and that he will discuss it only with those parties that are interested, so as not to create a circus.
The newspaper Danas refers to sources and states that all three candidates come from the USA.
Nikitović has the most chances.
