Prosecutor of the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office prosecutor's office in Subotica, Aleksandra Stojsavljević said on Saturday (December 13) that starting her car a few days ago in the parking lot near the building where she lives, she does not consider it an attack on property, but a direct attack on her and her family.
"It was an act of intimidation," Stojsavljević said rally in front of the courthouse, which was organized by the Informal Group of Judges and Prosecutors "Defense of the Profession".
She said that "such messages must not become acceptable in a legal society" and that she expects a quick and efficient reaction from all competent authorities.
"I expect that I and my family will be provided with adequate protection and that the competent institutions will continue to send a clear message in order to prevent this and similar situations," said Stojsavljević.
She thanked her colleagues who gathered in front of the courthouse to support her: "Your presence is proof to me that I am not alone, and that we are not alone, and that together we must defend the dignity of our profession."
Prosecutor Stojsavljević is among the signatories of the letter "condemning Aleksandar Vučić's attack on the prosecutor's office", and recently she heard the arrested hooligans who inflicted serious injuries on Dražen Lončar, a man who actively participated in the anti-regime protests in Subotica.
On Wednesday, it was announced that the police in Subotica arrested two people on suspicion of setting fire to the car of public prosecutor Aleksandra Stojsavljević on the night between December 9 and 10, while two minors who are suspected of the same crime will be brought to the High Public Prosecutor's Office.
