Photos of Aleksandar Vučić next to Russian President Vladimir Putin on Victory Parade in Moscow they have traveled the world.
These are recordings recorded on May 9, but not in the year 2025, but - now long ago - in the year 2018. We don't have to deal with political diplomacy or the highest protocol to be clear to us that the seating arrangement at any such high international political event is a very important indication of relations. They often show us - those who are close to the organizer, always keep him with them, especially guests whose presence they value very much.
Seven years later, on May 9, 2025, at least 13 seats separated Aleksandar Vučić from Vladimir Putin. Two places further is Vučić's friend in the political struggle in the Balkans - Milorad Dodik.
Right next to Putin was actually Chinese President Xi Jinping. They sat next to each other on the stands of the Red Square and during the march of the troops, they talked and periodically exchanged comments, the media reports.
Thus, the large military parade in Moscow, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the victory over fascism in the Second World War, showed how much Vučić's arrival in Russia means to Putin.
This year's victory parade on Red Square was attended by more than 20 world leaders, including the presidents of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, Brazil's Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and Slovakia's Prime Minister Robert Fico.
Corner of the Kremlin
"I see that the Russians have transferred their desire to humiliate Vučić from Washington to Moscow," wrote Srđan Milivojević on social networks.
He published a photo showing Vučić sitting in the last row at the gathering of this year's participants in Moscow. However, it is not known which meeting it is about.
The Democratic Party announced that the place in "the corner of the Kremlin showed how much the international reputation of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić is really worth, who was once again humiliated, not by students or citizens, but by those whom he has represented as his closest allies for years."
Sour look
Aleksandar Vučić's team also edited a short video about Vučić's visit to Moscow and his presence at the Parade, which was published on his Instagram page. Only one shot shows Vučić briefly shaking hands with Putin, while in shots from the stands, during the Parade itself, the President of Serbia is shown alone, with a sour look.
Storming Berlin
Guests at the Victory Parade on Red Square in Moscow received special gifts, among which the book of the poet Alexander Tvardovsky "Vasily Terkin", a cap and a board game with a specific name - "Attack on Berlin".
