Representative education unions will protest tomorrow, September 26, due to dissatisfaction with the financial position and reputation of the profession, the president of GSPRS Nezavisnost Srđan Slović confirmed for Vreme.
Their representatives were invited today, September 25, to a meeting with Prime Minister Ana Brnabić.
"In addition to our basic demands, we are looking for social dialogue. To offer us something, and not just to hear our side", says Slovic. If their demands are not met from October 9, a strike will begin in schools with lessons shortened to 30 minutes.
The basic demand of the educators is that the salaries of the employees in education be equalized with the national average and that funds be provided for the increase in the remuneration of class teachers, which were promised in the previous period.
Educational workers called on the parents of the students, as well as the entire public to support them in the protest called "Respected teacher - dignified Serbia".
