Mila Pajić experienced such accusations after she spoke against lithium mining at a protest in Novi Sad.
Pajić is known to the public for her activities in the informal student organization STAV, which participated in the blockade of the Rectorate building due to the election for the Student Parliament of the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad.
In his statement, Vucevic states that "proven Serb-haters are recruiting their attackers" and that they are doing it "in faculty amphitheatres", mentioning Professor Dink Gruhonjić.
"Dink's student and the spearhead of his assault squad STAV, now as an alleged environmental activist, she is being pushed to overthrow the state." And don't all those so-called patriots who supposedly defend Serbia from foreigners mind being led by a person who brings out the worst at the expense of the Serbian people and our homeland?" Vučević says.
He says that he will never allow "the state to be hijacked" by the opposition, which "doesn't have better students to use as human shields".
100 days of the Government of "continuity and stability"
Nevertheless, in an interview with "Vreme", Pajić says that attempts at intimidation and unfounded accusations will not be an obstacle on her activist path.
"It is inadmissible for the prime minister of a supposedly serious country to settle accounts with a student on social media. I believe that there are more serious things that he should deal with", she said.
He reminds that today marks 100 days since the constitution of the new Government, and that on that occasion Vucevic announced peace and stability in Serbia and the region. On May 1, Prime Minister Vučević said in his presentation before future ministers and MPs that his first and only demand is unquestionable loyalty to the motherland, and emphasized that he will lead the Government of Continuity.
One hundred days later, as Pajić says, the prime minister contradicted his own promise.
"What the prime minister is saying on social networks is an absolute falsehood that he has nothing to prove." It is a very thoughtless act on the part of a high-ranking official", believes Pajić.
"Storm" in the shadow of Twitter discussions
Pajić believes that it is necessary for the prime minister to deal with some more serious state problems, among which is that the victims of "Storm" get the status of civilian victims of war.
"Given that the authorities have recently been using different toponyms and human victims during the war in the 90s in order to raise the national spirit, he could do something concrete for the victims of the Storm", said Pajić and said that the prime minister would have his hands full. if he would spend less time arguing on Twitter.
Lynching of activists
On Thursday, student and activist of STAV, Branislav Đorđević, who also spoke at the protest in Novi Sad, was detained.
As he said after being released from the police station, he was called for an interview as a citizen.
"However, four inspectors came to pick me up, which is not very common because I have been to several such interviews and they usually call me to come to the station." I see this as a form of intimidation, but we will not be intimidated. Rio Tinto will not dig. The hardest thing for me is that I have to go back to work," he told the portal 021.ni student and STAV acquistor Bane Đorđević, who also spoke at the protest in Novi Sad.
