U Vrbas a protest gathering will be held on Wednesday at 20 p.m. on the anniversary of the clashes that took place during the protests in that city on August 12, 2025.
The gathering is scheduled on the city square, and the organizers say that they will mark the anniversary of the event during which, as they say, there was a clash between citizens and students on the one hand, sympathizers and members Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) on the other hand, Razglas.news reported.
According to the organizers, during the protest in Vrbas citizens and students were exposed to attacks with pyrotechnics, stones, bottles and other objects, which, they claim, came from the direction of SNS supporters for almost two hours.
The organizers remind that the citizens of Vrbas gathered every month after last year's events to mark them, while this time the meeting was organized on the occasion of the anniversary.
"Same place, same time, one year later. We have not forgiven you for August 12. Vrbas," said the Vrbas Student Voice.
The choirs of Vrbas are also calling for a protest, stating that even a year after last year's events, which they consider to be one of the most serious incidents in the city's recent history, there was no appropriate reaction from the authorities.
"We don't forget August 12, 2025 either, we don't forget what was committed and we say that the time of responsibility for that event and for the other inactions of the Cartel will come," states the invitation of the Vrbas choirs.
