Citizens who are immobile, live abroad or simply were not in Serbia on December 28, - should not worry. They will have new opportunities to support students in to their struggle for the calling of extraordinary parliamentary elections in Serbia.
Serbs who live outside their country during December 29 should follow social networks, primarily instagram page of Students in Blockade for the Diaspora. On this page, an online form for student support will appear during the day, and there you will find the same paper that citizens filled out on the streets. With the difference that people from the diaspora should also state the country and city where they live. On this page, citizens of Serbia can fill i a form for the training of members of electoral committees in the diaspora. Those who fill it do not have to be future controllers in the elections, but it just includes them in the process. Applications for controllers last until January 15.
And that's not all. Students will continue to organize signings on the street in the coming year, "Vreme" learns. Especially in municipalities, and parts of municipalities, where they could not logistically be present on the 28th.
"We already have proposals for a new collection of signatures at the beginning of next year," a student from a Belgrade faculty told "Vreme". "On Sunday, we were in Galenica, and then a lot of people came to us from the surrounding local communities. The point of all these actions is to reach people who are ready to help."
What about the immobile and the sick?
Citizens who could not physically go out to sign will have more opportunities.
"One of the ways is our action A student in every village, and the other is Door to door. This is just the beginning, let's count and gather everyone who wants to work with us. After this initial action, in which we will actually gather volunteers, we will try to reach all the citizens of the country", said a student of the Faculty of Law in Belgrade for "Vreme".
During December 28, students invited those citizens who want to be volunteers and potential controllers in the next elections. They left their phone numbers, so the students will contact them in the following period, so that the circle will expand further. The idea is that these people then activate their own community and reach everyone.
"We also received a lot of help from choirs, and we expect that number of people will only increase," adds the student of the Faculty of Zemun. He also says that some preliminary numbers have been collected and that everything will be announced soon:
"We are very satisfied with how the action was carried out and how people reacted. But this is just the beginning of this way of acting by students."
