The student marathoners were welcomed in Luxembourg by the mayor of that city. They are expected to reach the EU building in Brussels on Monday. In Serbia, people used to walk to Gornji Nedeljice
Student runners from Serbia today in Luxembourg, the mayor of that city Lidia Polfer welcomed her, who told the marathoners that she admired them for their courage and fight against corruption.
"I would like to welcome you to Luxembourg. We admire your courage and everything you do - you stand up against corruption and fight for transparency and justice. You are welcome to our city," said Lydia Polfer, reports N1.
The student runners started this morning from Saarbrücken and covered 93 kilometers to arrive in Luxembourg around 16 pm.
On the second day of the weekend, the students will pass the most difficult stage of the journey across the Ardennes to the Belgian city of Liège, and they are expected to finish the race on Monday, May 12, in Brussels - symbolically on the plateau next to the building of the European Union's External Affairs Service.
Loznica – Gornje Nedeljice
And in Serbia, students and high school students, with the support of citizens and war veterans, are arriving on foot today around 18:30 p.m. in Gornje Nedeljice, after participating in a day-long protest "March on the Drina" on Friday in Loznica. Their goal is to once again express their support for the members of the "Ne damo Jadar" Association and reiterate their opposition to the exploitation of lithium and boron.
"Ne damo Jadar" is the first association that received student support because it is "exclusively an association of citizens who do not give their land", student Iva Petrović told N1.
"It has nothing to do with politics or any other organization or political party that we distance ourselves from," she added.
Nebojša Petković from the "Ne damo Jadar" association said that the support of students means a lot to them. "Students of all faculties have been dealing with the topic of Rio Tinto for a long time, especially experts - Legal, Technological, Biological and those who have the knowledge to talk about this project", said N1 and pointed out that they are fighting for the same goals with the students - for the rule of law and for the functioning of institutions.

"Perhaps my dismissal is a warning to others in the newsroom, but my colleagues have shown that they are honorable enough and that they are ready to fight for their profession and objectivity in reporting, as much as possible," Marija Šehić, a "Juronjuz" journalist who was fired after dissociating herself from the controversial statement of this newsroom, told "Vreme"
Ivan Sikošek from Belgrade endured various police humiliations for six and a half hours before being told that the complaint against him had been dismissed. He tells "Vreme" what happened to him
Vučić is not defending the state, but himself from the state. With a drum on his back and a guitar in his hands, this man-orchestra performs two or three of the same songs without hearing, with falsifications and falling out of rhythm. His government and politics are like that. In short - dangerous for the environment
Arrests of professors, punishment of people, firing of journalists... The regime of Aleksandar Vučić is shining and is yet to shine. It is the decadent phase of the regime, the one towards the end
The example of the elections in Zaječar and Kosjerić shows that the truth is not given, but assumed. Truth is a task that a citizen fulfills. She always wins
