Students Faculty of Dramatic Arts (FDU) in Belgrade announced that at the plenum they decided to update the demands and the list of those who attacked students on blockades they added 15 more names.
One of the problems, as they state, is the selective and incorrect transmission of information in the second Serbian Radio-television Diary broadcast on December 17, when December 2 was again incorrectly stated as the date of the attack on students and employees of FDU.
In Dnevnik, it was also said that prosecutor Nenad Stefanović states that the pre-investigation procedure is ongoing and that the prosecution is acting on the report of the dean of FDU and is undertaking actions within its jurisdiction.
"Based on the continuous selective and inaccurate transmission of information in Dnevnik, there is a well-founded doubt about the reliability of RTS' allegations, including those related to the proceedings of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office," the FDU students said in a statement.
The public media service keeps citizens in the media dark
It was pointed out that 24 days after the beginning of the blockade, which followed an attack by an organized group on FDU students, physical violence against students and citizens continues.
The students stated that the public media service keeps citizens in the media darkness, which absolves the perpetrators of violence and competent institutions of any responsibility.
They pointed out that by reporting that was not complete, objective and timely, RTS violated several articles of the Law on Public Information and Media, as well as the Law on Public Media Services
"As long as the actions of violent groups and individuals are not adequately legally sanctioned and covered by the media, everyone is still at risk," it was stated.
Urgent interrogation of all suspects
FDU students are now demanding an urgent hearing of all suspects for physical assault on students and questioning of injured witnesses before the prosecutor's office.
"We ask that the prosecution propose to the court the order of detention due to the danger that the suspect will repeat the crime, given that fifteen-minute blockades in memory of the victims have become everyday, so their stay at liberty threatens the safety of all blockade participants," the statement said.
The students reminded that, according to the media, they and the professors were physically attacked by Milija Koldžić, Aleksandar Jokić, Dušan Kostić, Milena Aleksić and Ivan Stanišić, and the FDU students added the names of 15 more people, identified by the media, to that list.
They are Ratko Adžić, Tatjana Makević Nikolić, president of the municipality of Sremski Karlovci Dražen Đurđić, Miljan Vračarević, Predrag Veselinović, head of the department for public order and peace of the Belgrade Police Administration Mladen Radenković, councilor in the Belgrade City Assembly Aleksandar Čavić and Petar Čavić.
The list includes the president of the City Municipality of Zemun Gavrilo Kovačević, commissioner of the Rakovica Municipal Board Dejan Paunović, Igor Đogić, member of the Council of the Rakovica Municipality Vesna Čingelić, Đoko Nenadić, member of the Council of the City Municipality of Novi Beograd Stefan Pantelić Stefanović and Luka Roganović.
The students demand from the Ministry of the Interior to immediately confirm their identities and to identify the other members of the organized group that attacked the students.
"We demand that all identified persons be sanctioned, and if it is determined that they are in public positions, we demand their dismissal," the announcement stated.
To read everything on RTS
FDU students ask the editor-in-chief of the RTS news program to read this announcement in the central news show Dnevnik 2, in accordance with Articles 94 and 95 of the Law on Public Information and Media.
"In case of ignoring this request, we will act in accordance with the appropriate part of Article 94 of that law," said the students.
The students distanced themselves from all political parties and organizations and said that they will remain in the blockade until the competent institutions fulfill all their demands.
The Faculty of Dramatic Arts has been on lockdown since November 25.
