The students invited citizens through their Instagram page to donate money for their pre-election campaign, but primarily for the fuel they need to visit citizens.
"We will visit villages we have not been to," they write. "We have the energy, we find the time during the breaks from studying, you run in for fuel, so that together we can speed up the end of the mafia in power."
They also add that the trainings for controllers daily, as well as making a new round of stickers, badges and surprises.
The money, they say, goes to the association. "IT Blockade", which "uses funds for the implementation of program activities in accordance with the statute, while respecting the needs of the community."
"We are rebellious citizens. We are workers, we are IT professionals, we are parents, we are people from different professions who are united by faith in the student movement, social justice and democratic values," this association writes on its website and adds that among them are security guards who protect protests, programmers who build systems, as well as volunteers who stand on the ground, carrying megaphones and laptops.
"A community that organized itself - and grew. In a year, from the Viber group, we became a formal association of citizens and stable support for the student movement in the fight for the rule of law," they add.
The association invites citizens to join them.
"Join us to build a community that protects students, defends the truth and democratic values, and does not give up on a better society and a better tomorrow," they say.
State obstruction
The governing structures are doing everything to make this assistance difficult. Thus, in March 2026, the Directorate of Criminal Police (UKP) detained four students, searched them and seized two million dinars in donations intended for activities ahead of the local elections.
Their colleagues were soon released, but the money was not returned, the Students in Blockade announced at the time.
"The working unit 'Student in every village' traveled the entire country, going from place to place, talking to people, connecting and building support. For that work, fuel, accommodation, and basic conditions are needed to get to every place in the country. That's exactly what citizens donate for, and that's what has now been taken away," the statement read. "This is the citizens' money. This is the trust they are trying to humiliate. They are stealing in all ways, even in this way, from those who have no surplus, from those who gave so that we could endure. They took it and kept it, knowingly and without shame, knowing who it belongs to and why it was collected," the students added.
Applications for controllers
Students are also calling people to apply for controllers in the upcoming elections.
"New applications are constantly arriving, and the network we are building is getting stronger," they add.
On the phone with students
The students in the blockade announced that the team had officially started working "Student They are announcing a new phase of communication with citizens throughout Serbia, while the pre-election campaign of regime parties, led by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, who would like to become prime minister, rumbles across the country.
In a post on their Instagram channel, the students stated that in the coming period they will invite citizens to talk to them and, as they emphasize, connect and initiate changes.
"Soon we will invite you too. To talk. To connect. To initiate change," the students said.
They added that "every call is an opportunity to understand each other better", while inviting citizens to get involved.
"Elections" are not obtained in one day. They are obtained every day before that. Big changes start with one conversation. We'll see you on the field," said the post of students in the blockade.
