The progressive government increasingly loses all sense of proportion. Now she has sent BIA agents to intimidate the employees of the Republic Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments who believe that Vučić and his brothers are illegally demolishing the General Staff. Party repression is more and more exposed
On the official site The security information agency states: "The basic tasks of the BIA are: protection of the security of the Republic of Serbia, detection and prevention of activities aimed at undermining or overthrowing the order established by the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia, research, collection, processing and evaluation of security-intelligence data and knowledge of importance for the security of the Republic of Serbia and informing competent state authorities about that data, as well as performing other tasks specified by the Law on BIA".
Did they discover activities "aimed at undermining or overthrowing the order established by the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia"?
If so, did they prevent them?
What in the institution that deals with the protection of cultural monuments could cause the suspicion of civil servants who deal with the protection of the constitutional order?
If the Institute had not been infiltrated by some foreign agents who want to demolish the cultural monuments of Serbia and build, who knows, God forbid, some American towers?
What did the protectors of cultural monuments do wrong?
As "Vreme" has learned, the BIA agents, on the contrary, raided the Republic Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments because some employees oppose the abolition of the protection of the General Staff as a cultural property so that its demolition could begin and skyscrapers could sprout in its place. which, among other things, would operate the hotel of Trump's son-in-law Kushner.

The decision was published in the Official Gazette on Friday, November 15 and will enter into force on the eighth day after its publication.
Responsible people working in the Institute were preparing to publish an appeal warning that all this is being done outside the law.
The Republic Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments prepared a letter to the Government of Serbia and the Ministry of Culture which, it seems, bothered the BIA managers, so they wanted to prevent it from going public, and which was published by N1.
In it, they say that the Government grossly violated the Law on Cultural Heritage with its decisions to delete the buildings of the General Staff from the register of immovable cultural assets. They demand that the Government revoke the decision without delay "so that we are not the only country in the civilized world that does not respect its own law", "does not respect the service of protection of immovable cultural assets" and "destroys and destroys its cultural assets". transmissions H1.
If the state of Serbia treats its own cultural property and heritage in this way, he writes further, "with what right will we ask international institutions to protect our heritage, not Kosovo and Metohija".
"If they follow the example of the Serbian government, the authorities of the so-called state of Kosovo can make a decision that the Church of Our Lady of Ljeviška in Prizren, devastated in the March pogrom of 2004, will no longer be a cultural monument. How will we protect it, when we ourselves are destroying our heritage in the center of Belgrade", reads the letter of the Republic Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments published by N1.
Scandalous behavior
"Vreme" reported that members of the BIA had a brief conversation with the deputy director Estela Radonjić Živkov, because the acting director Goran Vasić is not in Belgrade.
This is the one who was placed at the head of the Institute because he is the only one among those who are experts in favor of demolishing the General Staff. He was appointed to that position after the previous manager, Dubravka Đukanović, resigned because she did not want to participate in the Government's intention to revoke the status of the General Staff as a cultural property.
Danijela Nestorović, MP of the Ecological Uprising, told "Vreme" that the party asked BIA director Vladimir Orlić and outgoing minister Goran Vesić the reason for the raid.
"Such behavior is scandalous." The Republic Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments was preparing a press release for Monday regarding the cancellation of the status of a cultural monument from the General Staff building," Nestorović said.
The progressive elite loses all measure
What does that institution do to attract the visit of BIA agents?
Na site The Republic Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments states: "Obtaining insight into the condition of immovable cultural assets of exceptional and cultural assets of great importance and taking measures related to their protection and use; providing professional assistance and improving work on the protection of cultural assets, especially with regard to modern methods of professional work; taking care of the professional development of workers who work on the protection of cultural assets; maintaining central registers of cultural goods by type and documentation about them; taking care of the protection of cultural assets of exceptional importance..."
There is absolutely no mention of any activity that could even remotely threaten the constitutional order of the Republic of Serbia.
The involvement of the BIA in intimidating people who deal with the protection of cultural property, i.e. workers in the culture of this country, because it was estimated that they could threaten the interests of investors who will build new high-rise buildings that do not belong there, shows that the top of the progressive government has begun to lose
Serbia is sliding into open repression, the SNS no longer tries to hide the abuse of the state's levers of force for the sake of preserving power and defending the financial interests of individuals.
Head of the BIA from Vučić's mercy Vladimir Orlic he would have to answer the question: what on earth are BIA agents looking for in the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments?
But it won't. Because progressive civil servants do not answer to the citizens for whom they formally work and who finance their salaries, but to the party leadership.
