Air is very polluted in several cities in Serbia, in Čačak, Užice, Kraljevo, Niš, Novi Pazar and Lazarevac, while slightly lower pollution was recorded in Belgrade, Smederevo, Valjevo, Kragujevac, Pirot and Negotin, according to the data of the Environmental Protection Agency.

Between 55 and 110 micrograms of PM 2,5 particles per cubic meter were registered in Belgrade, Mladenovac, Obrenovac, Smederevo, Valjevo, Kragujevac, Pirot and Negotin.
According to the Beoeko website, when the air is highly polluted, more serious health problems can be expected in both healthy people and in sensitive groups of the population, i.e. children, the elderly and people with heart and lung diseases.

It is recommended to avoid all physical activities in the outdoor environment, to shorten the time spent outdoors, to redirect the performance of usual activities indoors until the air quality improves.
