Trade union of the Electric Power Company of Serbia (EPS) Dragoslav Ljubičić on Wednesday, he was terminated from his employment contract because he allegedly violated the Code of Business Conduct and the Rulebook on Labor Discipline by posting on social networks.
Ljubičić did not get fired at the director's initiative EPS- Dušan Živković "but someone from above who tried in every way to prevent support for student demands and students" of Elektroprivreda workers.
"When I say 'someone from above', I don't mean that it was Aleksandar Vučić who dealt with it, but I can suspect that the decision to cancel the employment contract was made by the EPS Assembly, that is, the Minister of Energy Dubravka Đedović Handanović," Ljubičić told Vreme.
He has the right to file a lawsuit, but that, since he declared that he is unable to work and took sick leave, the decision on his dismissal will have to be posted on notice boards and will take effect in eight days.
Ljubičić added that his lawyer will initiate an urgent procedure before the Labor Inspectorate, which has the possibility to temporarily invalidate the dismissal decision.

He also stated that there is a possibility that he will file a lawsuit for illegal dismissal and for abuse at work for an extended period.
Arrest of Grcic late news
Speaking about the arrest of former EPS director Milorad Grčić and businessman Aleksandar Papić, Ljubičić says that it is "late news" for him.
"They should have been arrested much earlier." My termination of employment should have flown under the radar, covered by that news of the arrests. I believe that repressive measures will be initiated across Serbia these days against people who publicly deal with arrogant thieves in power. It is fine that they arrest their own people, but the damage that Grcic is accused of is 1600 times less than the damage that the citizens suffered due to his disastrous management of the EPS. The damage from the accident at TENT 2021 is 1,6 billion euros," said Ljubičić.
Because of all this, Ljubičić points out that there is a need for greater support for students and their demands, and political action that will enable all those who abuse their positions and laws to be disempowered as soon as possible.
